| In the middle of the
Mediterranean sea, there is the ancient island where the Tyrrhenians,
builders of towers (the nuraghi), lived. According to some new theories,
they were the ancient people of Atlantis. This island is Sardinia.
In this Babel of languages, traditions, and nature there is a jewel
embedded in one of the most ancient and uncontaminated parts of
the island. The town at the centre of this portion of paradise is
Fluminimaggiore.
Fluminimaggiore is
located in the province of Cagliari and it borders on the districts
of Arburese and Sulcis-inglesiente.
The municipal territory of Fluminimaggiore can be easily reached;
from Cagliari through the S.S.130 up to Iglesias, then following
the directions to Fluminimaggiore; from Porto Torres or Olbia through
the S.S.131 up to the crossroad to Uras, from Uras reaching San
Nicolò Arcidano and going on to Guspini and Arbus, in order
to arrive to Fluminimaggiore.
And now, let’s go on to the farm holiday...
